Every point, every card, every edge case: the complete picture.
Every match, you predict a scoreline, say 2-1. That's it. You don't separately pick a winner or a margin, they're worked out automatically from the score you enter. You can score points in five different ways on the same match, and they all add up:
| # | You get this right | Points |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | The winner (or a draw) | 3 pts |
| 2 | The exact scoreline, right team winning | +5 pts |
| 3 | The exact scoreline, wrong team winning | +2 pts |
| 4 | How close the game was (exact margin or near-miss) | up to +4 pts |
| 5 | Correctly calling an upset | +4 pts |
| 6 | Everything at once (Perfect Prediction) | +5 pts extra |
| 7 | Your predictions build a season-long table Coming Later | See below |
You don't need to choose between these. If your prediction qualifies for several, you get all of them added together.
Simplest way to score. Predict which team wins, or if it's a draw, correctly and you're on the board.
Predict the final score exactly, with the correct team winning. For example, you called 2-1 to Newcastle, and that's exactly what happened.
Sometimes you call the right shape of the game but back the wrong team. For example, you predicted 2-1 to Brighton, but Aston Villa actually won 2-1. You still read the game well, so you get a smaller reward for that.
Even without nailing the exact score, you get credit for correctly reading how tight or one-sided the match would be.
Exact Margin: Correctly predicting the exact winning margin awards points on the scale below. Exact-margin points apply whether or not you backed the right team to win (which is why a reversed scoreline can still stack with margin points):
| Actual winning margin | Exact-Match Points |
|---|---|
| Won by 1 goal | +1 |
| Won by 2 goals | +2 |
| Won by 3 goals | +3 |
| Won by 4 or more goals | +4 (capped) |
Near-Miss Bands: If your predicted margin is close but not exact, you can still earn bonus points under two conditions — provided you back the correct winning team:
Key guardrails for near-miss points:
1. Requires the winning side: Backing the wrong team on a near-miss earns zero (e.g. predicting Chelsea 5–0 when Aston Villa won 4–0 scores zero, despite the numbers looking close).
2. No near-miss on 1-goal margins: In tight 1-goal margin matches (like a 2–1 win), only an exact 1-goal margin earns points. An off-by-1 prediction on a 1-goal margin result drops to 0 on margin, correctly rewarding the player who called the exact tight finish.
3. Prediction margin floor for blowouts: Off-by-2 blowout credit requires your own predicted margin to be at least 2 goals (a 1-goal margin prediction cannot claim blowout credit).
Every team has a Difficulty Rating from 1 (weakest) to 5 (strongest), based on how they performed last season, you'll see this next to each fixture. If you correctly predict a clear underdog to win (a team rated at least 2 points weaker than their opponent), you get an automatic +4 bonus on top of everything else. No card needed, it just happens whenever you call it right.
For example: Manchester United (rated 4) against Coventry (rated 1) is a gap of 3, so a Coventry win would trigger the bonus. But two closely-rated teams, say a 3 versus a 2, don't qualify, even if the lower-rated side wins.
If you nail the winner, the margin, and the exact scoreline all in one go, you get an extra +5 on top of everything else for getting a "Perfect Prediction". This is the biggest single reward in the game. Precision pays.
Draws work a little differently, since there's no "winning margin" to read. Instead, you're rewarded for correctly calling how high-scoring the draw was:
| You correctly predict | Points |
|---|---|
| That it's a draw, but not the exact score | +1 |
| The exact score is 0–0 or 1–1 | +2 |
| The exact score is 2–2 | +3 |
| The exact score is 3–3 or higher | +4 |
A 2–2 or 3–3 draw is much rarer than a 0–0 or 1–1, so calling it exactly is worth more.
Result: Arsenal 2–1 Man City (Actual margin: 1 goal, Arsenal win)
| Prediction | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Arsenal 1–0 | 4 pts | Right winner (3) + exact 1-goal margin (1) |
| Man City 2–1 | 3 pts | Wrong winner, exact scoreline reversed (2) + exact 1-goal margin (1) |
| Arsenal 3–1 | 3 pts | Right winner (3), off by 1 on a 1-goal margin match (0 on margin) |
| Arsenal 4–1 | 3 pts | Right winner (3), off by 2 on a 1-goal margin match (0 on margin) |
| Man City 3–1 | 0 pts | Wrong winner (0), near-miss on wrong team earns nothing (0) |
| Draw 1–1 | 0 pts | Wrong on everything |
Result: Chelsea 3–1 Spurs (Actual margin: 2 goals, Chelsea win)
| Prediction | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Chelsea 2–0 | 5 pts | Right winner (3) + exact 2-goal margin (2) |
| Chelsea 2–1 | 5 pts | Right winner (3) + off-by-1 near-miss on 2-goal margin (+2 pts on margin) |
| Chelsea 4–0 | 3 pts | Right winner (3), off by 2 on a 2-goal margin match (0 on margin) |
| Spurs 3–1 | 4 pts | Wrong winner, exact scoreline reversed (2) + exact 2-goal margin (2) |
Result: Liverpool 4–1 Everton (Actual margin: 3 goals — 3-goal blowout margin, Liverpool win)
| Prediction | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Liverpool 3–1 | 5 pts | Right winner (3) + off-by-1 near-miss on 3-goal blowout margin (+2 pts on margin) |
| Liverpool 5–0 | 4 pts | Right winner (3) + off-by-2 near-miss on blowout margin with 2+ goal prediction (+1 pt on margin) |
| Liverpool 1–0 | 3 pts | Right winner (3), 1-goal prediction margin ineligible for blowout near-miss (0 on margin) |
| Everton 5–1 | 0 pts | Wrong winner (0), near-miss on wrong team earns nothing (0) |
Result: Chelsea 2–2 Spurs
| Prediction | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Chelsea 2–2 | 16 pts | Right winner (3) + exact 2–2 draw (3) + exact scoreline (5) + Perfect Prediction (5) |
| Draw 1–1 | 4 pts | Right that it's a draw (3), not the exact score (+1 baseline) |
Alongside normal scoring, you'll receive a set of Dugout Cards each season, one-time boosts you play on a specific match before kickoff. Once played, a card is locked in and can't be swapped or reversed once the match starts. You can play one card per match, maximum.
Doubles the points you earn just for calling the winner correctly (3 → 6 pts). No downside if you're wrong.
5 uses this seasonDoubles everything you earn on that match.
4 uses this seasonIf you call the winner correctly, triple everything you earn on that match. If you call the winner wrong, you lose 3 points instead.
2 uses this seasonDoubles everything you earn, but only playable on fixtures marked as rivalry games.
8 uses this season+2 bonus if you correctly predict the winning team's exact goal count, even if you get the losing team's score wrong. (For draws, the full exact score needs to match.)
4 uses this seasonWorth knowing: cards refill each new season, unused cards don't carry over. All In is the highest-risk, highest-reward card in the game. Save it for matches you're genuinely confident about.
Certain fixtures are marked as Rivalry Games: derbies and historic big-club matchups where Rivalry Boost becomes available. These are flagged clearly on the fixture list and prediction screen. A Rivalry Boost can only be played on one of these matches.
This one isn't live yet, but it's worth knowing about now since it's a real part of how points get earned once it launches. Every scoreline you predict this season doubles as a hypothetical result. Put all of them together across all 380 fixtures, and you get a full 20-team league table built entirely from your own predictions, separate from what actually happens on the pitch.
Standard league table math applies to your predicted scorelines: a win is 3 points, a draw is 1, a loss is 0. Ties are broken the normal way too, first by points, then goal difference, then goals scored. This turns your 380 individual predictions into one ranked table, unique to you.
At the end of the season, your personal table gets compared slot by slot against the real final Premier League table:
| Your predicted table vs. the real one | Points |
|---|---|
| A team sits in the exact same position | +2 |
| A team is off by exactly one position | +1 |
This is a completely separate bonus from everything else in the game. It doesn't touch your weekly Outcome, Scoreline, Margin, or Upset points at all, it's an entirely independent pot of points paid out once, at the very end of the season, purely for how well your predictions read the league as a whole.
If you don't submit a prediction before a match locks, it defaults to 0-0 for the purposes of your Shadow Table, so every one of the 380 fixtures always counts toward it, whether you predicted that particular match or not.
